What We Do

Our Initiatives

ComfortCare℠

Through this program, we dedicate time and resources to supporting children and their families by providing practical assistance during their hospital stays through personal visits, non-medical end-of-life care, staff support, and our ComfortCare Bags. We also do what we can to uplift spirits and celebrate milestones, through character visits, “No Mo Chemo Parties,” and holiday celebrations.

Research

We fund cutting-edge studies to understand radiation necrosis and improve treatments for pediatric brain tumors.

Current Initiatives

• Brain Stem Radiation Tissue Necrosis
• Pediatric Brain Tumor Outcomes
• Effects of Proton Radiation
Partners: LSU Medical Physics Program, Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center

Education

We support programs that train future caregivers and provide the medical community with palliative care from a parent’s perspective.
